i should've read books like this long ago. it's such an uncanny articulation of how i am (except for the "strong man" part) i'm starting to get a bit freaked out.

while reading, if imagery floats to mind be sure to at least make a sketch of it. have you tried returning to pencil and paper?

I have. In fact, I keep a sketchbook on my desk for when a breeze of inspiration blows in... most of the time is just crap anyways. xD but still.

Steppenwolf... wasn't that a band?

haha, the band - though i'm not entirely familiar with their music - almost certainly misappropriated (as in, they don't deserve it) the name from the Herman Hesse's novel. recommended author. Narcissus and Goldmund was a cool tale of departure. Steppenwolf (only 40 pgs in) also speaks to the discontented and dispossessed.
